It’s often said that a good education is the cornerstone for success as it equips us with the know-hows to take on the world and opens up our mind to newer possibilities. Education is meant to be a joyous experience as it feeds our innate capacity for curiosity and discovery, and yet, education has become one of the strongest triggers for stress in modern society. In this thought-provoking talk, 13 year-old Valerie Poh shares her perspectives as a student on the pressures of education and how to overcome brain fog, or more commonly known as mental fatigue.

Since the age of 3, Valerie Poh, now 13, has travelled to more than 14 countries in 5 continents. Intrigued by the distinct cultures and ways of life, she embraces diversity and recognises the uniqueness of every individual in a different world. This has taught her to be appreciative and respectful while celebrating the rich dimensions of our world. With a deep interest in learning and pursuing her love for music, she recognises having knowledge of the world helps her in developing perspectives in life and getting her future ready.
